The Marion County 4-H Livestock shows returned to the show arena at the Marion County Fairgrounds on Saturday after a year’s absence due to COVID-19 mitigations.
In the Beef Show, Maddox Robb received the Senior Showmanship Award, Koalin Lewis the Intermediate Showmanship Award, and Porter Lewis as Junior Showmanship Award winner. Eliza Engelhardt won the Champion Showmanship in the dairy cow division. Porter Lewis had the Grand Champion Steer, Blaze Courson the Champion Homegrown Steer, Sydney Donoho the Grand Champion Market Heifer, Maddox Robb Grand Champion Beef Female, Dennis Wollin Grand Champion Bull, and Eliza Engelhardt Grand Champion Dairy Female.
In the Swine Show, Elias Mullinax won the Senior Showmanship Award, Hallie Borcherding the Intermediate Showmanship Award, and Landon Borcherding the Junior Showmanship Award. The Grand Champion Market Swine award was presented to Lindsey Lehman, and the Grand Champion Market Swine Barrow to Logan Hanks, and the Grand Champion Swine Gilt to Elias Mullinax. AJ Wilkins had the Champion Homegrown Swine.
In the Sheep Show, the Senior Showmanship Award was won by Haley Shuler, the Intermediate Showmanship by Kinless Thompson, and the Junior Showmanship award was won by Brialey Shuler. The Grand Champion Ewe was shown by Peyton Jett, and the Grand Champion Market Lamb and Champion Homegrown awards were won by Kinlee Thompson.
In the Rabbit Show held last Thursday, Haley Duncan won the Senior Showmanship Award and Ella Bays the Junior Showmanship award. Adalynn Rose had both the Grand Champion Market Pen and Grand Champion Rabbit.
In the Poultry Show, Morgan Robb won the Senior Showmanship Award and Lorelai Rose the Junior Showmanship Award. The Grand Reserve Poultry was shown by Lorelai Rose, the Grand Champion Domestic Bird Zane Barthelemy,\ and the Grand Champion Market Pen was shown by Ava Smith.
