2022 08/01 – Billy Joe Mansker

Billy Joe Mansker, 87, of Centralia passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home. Billy served his country with honor and pride in the United States Marines. He worked hard to provide for his family as a truck driver. Billy was a social butterfly, enjoying time visiting with family and friends. He and his wife Olive liked to go together to play bingo and were grateful for their fellow bingo buddies. He never turned down a time to go out and enjoy a good meal. Billy loved to travel and see the beauty of our country. Billy was a family man with a huge heart who loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren, who adored their Grandpa and Pops.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home. Military honors following services conducted by Centralia VFW Post 2055 American Legion Post 446. Friends are welcome to a visitation time with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Billy’s honor to Irvin Macz Funeral Homes to assist the family with services. Survivors include his beloved family, children Timothy Mansker of Wamac, and Cynthia (Dennis) Mansker of Centralia; grandchildren Douglas “Doug” (Veronica) Mansker, Gail Reynolds (Abu Abulfathi), Jordan Mansker, Caleb Mansker, Andrew Mansker, Jacob Mansker, Craig Mansker, Jennifer Maltman, Sara Mansker, and Kaitlyn; several great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; siblings Dennis Mansker of Salem, Bob Mansker of Centralia, Mike Mansker of Kinmundy, Ronnie (Sharron) Mansker of Kinmundy; daughters-in-law Beverly Mansker, and Dawn Walton; sister-in-law Marie Bryan; and host of nieces and nephews.

Billy Joe Mansker was born on April 25, 1935, the son of Claire and Anna (Adams) Mansker in Gail, Illinois. He married Olive Lucille Fredenburg and she preceded him in death. Along with his wife Olive Lucille Fredenburg, Billy was preceded in death by his parents; sons Patrick Mansker, and Steven Mansker; siblings Skeeter Mansker, Dan Mansker, Jake Mansker, and Bonnie Palase, and Rosie Loag; grandson-in-law Rob Maltman; and sister-in-law Barbara Mansker.
