Kari Lynn Sassorossi, 58, of Centralia, formerly of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Centralia Fireside House. Kari Graduated from Centralia High School, Class of 1982. She attended the Centralia School of Cosmetology, where she earned her cosmetology license. She later moved to Clearwater, Florida where she married then later divorced Michael Jackson. Kari retired from the City of Clearwater after 30 years; she began her career in the city print shop, and finished her career in the Library accounting department. Kari enjoyed being with people and she never knew a stranger. She loved to share the love of Jesus with others. She was an active member of the Palm Harbor United Methodist Church in Palm Harbor, Florida, where she studied and became a Stephen Minister. She provided the love of Christ to those who were experiencing the loss of a loved one. Kari enjoyed volunteering in street ministries feeding those in need. She also loved the time spent with her Girls Group from Palm Harbor United Methodist. After retirement, Kari, prided herself in being a “snow bird”. Kari traveled and volunteered with the SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital as a Pink Lady. She also enjoyed serving Friendship Meals at Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia. She also had a passion for being and artist and crafter. She especially loved giving away her projects. Kari loved her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with each of them.
Per Kari’s wishes, she donated her body for scientific research and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Kari is survived by her mother: Judy Sassorossi of Centralia, two children: Anthony Jackson and Theresa Jackson both of Clearwater, Florida; two very special grandchildren: Jace Anthony & Micah Jack both of Clearwater, Florida; her brother: Joe Sassorossi of Springfield; and her sister: Elizabeth Biagi and husband Chris of Walnut Hill; a niece: Kloie Biagi and fiancé Walker Johnson, and nephew: Kyle Biagi all of Centralia; one great-nephew: Axell Sass. Extra special cousin: Tammy Booth; many aunts, uncles and cousins. BFF Karen Emmerson and husband Stan, and special friend: Calvin Horn. Kari loved her four legged companions: Baxter and Diesel.
She was born February 27, 1964 in Hopkins, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert L. Sassorossi and Judy (White) Sassorossi. She was preceded in death by her father; Robert Sassorossi and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
