Carole S. Lockart, age 80 of Beckemeyer, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
Mrs. Lockart was born in Vandalia, IL on March 24, 1942, a daughter of Edward T. and Ina Belle (nee Allison) Lowber. She married James Lockart on June 23, 1960, and he survives in Beckemeyer.
In addition to her husband James, Mrs. Lockart is also survived by her daughter – Cindy Lockart of Beckemeyer; a son – Jimmy Lockart and wife Cindy of Beckemeyer; her grandchildren – Eric Lockart and wife Brooke, Kyle Lockart, and Sue Ann Kleiboeker and husband James; 3 great-grandchildren, and she was eagerly anticipating the arrival of another great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers – Robert Lowber and his wife Lee, Edward Lowber, and James Lowber.
Mrs. Lockart was a member of the Beckemeyer United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carole had a green thumb, especially when it came to growing her beautiful flower garden.
