Byford A. Sherman, 80, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
He was born on July 4, 1941, in Mt Vernon the son of Gilbert and June Sherman. On October 26, 1963, in Mt. Vernon, he married Deanna Clemins and she survives in Mt. Vernon.
Mr. Sherman graduated from Mt. Vernon Township high school and worked for Precision, M & R Warehouse, and Anheuser-Busch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his Pet dogs, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Deanna he is survived by two sons, Chris Sherman of Mt. Vernon and Jeffry Sherman and wife Sandy of Benton, and seven grandchildren, Casey Hanes, Emily Treatman, Amy Wilson, Sarah Smith, Zach Beaty, Jordana Fowler, and Noah Beaty, twelve great-grandchildren, Saige Hanes, Rebecca Hanes, Marley Treatman, Josie Treatman, Kiley Wilson, Colt Wilson, Brad Williams, Brody Hubbard, Ryelan Hubbard, Norah Fowler, Charlotte Fowler, and Iris Fowler and one sister, Judy Lankhaar.
Mr. Sherman was preceded in death by his parents.
