A 39-year-old Orchardville man was arrested by Salem Police for alleged driving under the influence when his vehicle crashed into a parked car in the 100 block of South Broadway in downtown Salem just after midnight Sunday morning.

Salem Police say Michael Groome was traveling southbound on Broadway when he crashed into the parked vehicle owned by Brian Schifferdecker of Collinsville.

Groome declined medical treatment and was taken to the Marion County Jail until he could post bond.
