The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has released details on a two-vehicle crash on Route 37 at the Baseline Road on the Marion-Jefferson County Line just before noon on Thursday.
Initial information indicates a van driven by 27-year-old Kathryn Nauert of Alma turned left onto Route 37 from Baseline Road and didn’t see an approaching southbound car on Route 37 driven by 54-year-old Patricia Marke of Dix. The Marke car then hit the Nauert van.
Kell Fire Officials say five people in the van were taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of apparent minor injuries.
Sheriff’s Deputies say the van was occupied by Nauert along with four juvenile passengers.
Marke reportedly was not injured.
