The Sandoval School Board has named Nathan Mayberry as its Junior/Senior High Assistant Principal. Mayberry had been serving as the district’s physical education, driver education, and health teacher along with Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach. Recently named Superintendent Matthew Dannaman will also remain as Principal of the Junior-Senior High School. The board hired Tyler Mitchell to fill Mayberry’s old teaching position.
In other personnel news, the board has hired Bill Henson of Sandoval as its new social worker. Henson recently retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections. The board also hired Rick Pearce as the new night custodian. The resignation of Brandon Placher as the guidance counselor at both buildings was accepted.
Dannaman reports the summer improvement projects are underway. They include replacement of the boiler at the junior-senior high building and moving of the office and installation of new flooring at the grade school building.
The district will finish the fiscal year that ends June 30th with healthy balances in all funds.
