The Rotary Reds finished their Little League Major’s regular season at 14-1 with their 13-1, five inning win over Lions. Jaret Gibson was great on the mound allowing 1 hit, walking just 1 and striking out 11. At the plate, Landon Maxey singled along with Max Vincent. Kyler King and Kai Johnston doubled, Gibson had 2 hits including a double, Madden Thompson singled and doubled, Scout Puricelli tripled and Riley Tate added a single and an inside-the-park grand slam. For Lions, Hunter Janika struck out 5 on the mound and Evan Barnes singled.
Americana will meet Rotary in the Salem Majors City Series after their 7-6 win over IGA tonight. Silas Lux hit a 2 run homer to put Americana over the top. Pitcher Jaxon Ward was the starter and Keytin Grawe closed out the game. At the plate, Kaden Cripps, Ward, Trey Clark, Landon White added hits. IGA pitcher Titas Thompson worked in the loss. Hits for IGA came from Titas, Zane Dodson, Drake Rector and Landen Tennyson. Game 1 of the City Series will begin Tuesday night at 7pm at the Little League Complex.
In Minors, Security Alarm beat Edward Jones 9-6. Jared Crompton went 3-4 with a pair of doubles, Kolten Calhoun and Trygg Aaron each added 2 hits. In the loss, Owen Tennyson singled and Tripp Garden singled and doubled.
