2022 06/24 – Crissy E. Morgan

Crissy E. Morgan, 48, of Odin, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, with her children by her side.

She was born November 11, 1973, in Centralia, the daughter of Larry Mays and Gale Morgan. She married Scott Rhynes and they later divorced.

In addition to her father, Larry Mays and wife Carol of Centralia, she is also survived by her four children: Brittany Smith and husband Drake of Odin, Trey Brown of Centralia, Carissa Beane and husband Robbie of Odin, and Tristan Rhynes and wife Savannah of Odin; fourteen grandchildren: Teagin, Daxton, Kaison, Adalynn, Kinlee, Taylee, Pyper, Paislee, Paxtyn, Aveneah, Bella, Jo’siah, Skyler and Vera, who is on the way; special love: James Blount of Centralia and friend: Scott Rhynes of Centralia; two brothers: Shane Morgan and wife Bobbi of Centralia and Mac Foutch and wife Brenda of Odin; sister: Tina Foutch and Jerome Howard, Sr. of Centralia; nieces and nephews: Josh, Jalil and Melissa, Jarren, Jerome, Jr. and wife Brittany, Jalisa, Timothy, Jr., Destiny, Ashton, Kaleb, and Bentley; several great nieces and great nephews; brothers-in-law: Curtis Blount and wife Leslie, Lindell Blount, and Keith Blount all of Centralia; sisters-in-law: Lesa Briscoe, Donna Blount, and Doretha Blount all of Centralia; her lifelong best friends: Michelle Atchison and Terri Winegarner; and special friend: Goldie Hull is.

Crissy was preceded in death by her mother: Gale Morgan, grandparents, infant brother, niece: Jasmine Howard, sisters-in-law: Vanessa Blount, and two special family friends: Dustin Rhynes and Leslie Griffith.

Crissy’s favorite color was purple. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, and BBQing at family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her fur baby: Bruno. She was a member of the Crossroad Church of Centralia. Crissy loved and welcomed everyone into her family, she did not know a single stranger and for Crissy to know you, she was to love you.

Per Crissy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the Crossroads Church at 340 Walnut Hill Road in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crossroads Church in Centralia and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Crissy’s Family.
