Joan D. Willard, age 84 of Salem, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 28, 2022, with her daughter by her side.
Joan was born on October 22, 1937, in Chicago, the daughter of Sollie and Lucille (Rottenbach) Prignano.
Survivors include three children, Charles Willard of Lewisville, TX, Robert Willard of Fairfield, and Linda Wilkins and husband Jay of Salem; grandchildren, Joey Scheibner and wife Shara of Texas, Jennifer Berry and husband Brian of IL, Christina Roerick of Texas, Stephanie Willard of Salem, Cathy Willard of TX, Diann Willard and special friend Christopher Hylander of FL, J.R. Willard and wife Lindsay of IN, Brittany Willard of Fairfield, Christopher Willard of Fairfield, Andy Willard of Fairfield, Brad Kirsch and spouse Chris of PA, Brian Wilkins and wife Amy of Salem, Aaron Reeves and Shayla Birkner of Centralia, and Adam Wilkins and wife Jill of Salem; several great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Christine Prignano; one brother-in-law, Al D’Amico; two special nieces, Marion Madeya and Patricia Tomaszewski; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; two brothers; and one infant great-grandson, Samuel Birkner Reeves.
Joan worked for many years at Wal-Mart as a CSM, cashier, and stocker. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services for Joan Willard will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. Memorials can be made to the Grace Church of the Nazarene Food Pantry and can be left at the funeral home.
