Steven A. Pate, age 67, passed away at his home in Beckemeyer Sunday afternoon. Mr. Pate was a member of the Salem Assembly of God. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was also a lover of all things antique cars and muscle cars. Most of all he will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and brother.
Funeral Services for Steven A. Pate will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Donoho Prairie Christian Church near Kell with Josh Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. For those who wish, memorials made in Steven’s honor may be given to the family and will be accepted at the funeral service or at the funeral home. L.R. He married Marlena (Masters) October 27, 1990 in Salem, Illinois. He is survived by his wife Marlena; his parents William and Nora Pate all of Beckemeyer. He is survived by sons: Adam Pate and Josh Pate and wife Alison of Beckemeyer; by daughters: Kristy Heggemeier of Breese and Lora Densmore and husband Shane of Centralia; and by his grandchildren: Kali. Lucas, Ryder, Amelia, Ethan, Nathan Dylan, Isabella, and Riley. Also surviving are two brothers: William Pate Jr. and wife Tami of Carlyle; John Pate and wife Paula of Beckemeyer; and by one sister: Linda Schuette and husband Michael of Maryville; and by one sister-in-law: Linda Pate of Sandoval.
Steven was born January 19,1955 in New Harmony, Indiana the son of William and Nora Belle (Manhart) Pate. He was preceded in death by one brother: Robert Pate.
