The Central City Board went back into closed session Monday night on a complaint lodged against an employee and once again came out without a decision.
Mayor Ken Buchanan says three board members were absent from the meeting helping to make the decision to talk about the issue at a future closed session. He reports a special meeting of the board could be called before the regular July meeting.
While the board has never disclosed what the complaint is about, former City Clerk Cammi Starr spoke during the public session of the last meeting and indicated she had worked at village hall for ten years and had never been harassed or felt uncomfortable.
The board has received a report from an investigator hired to look into the allegation.
The board did vote to approve this year’s oil and chipping program. It will cover the streets and alleys in the southeast part of town. The total cost of the program will be around $70,000 and is expected to be completed in August.
The board passed an ordinance to make the east side of the 300 block of Clark Street no parking.
