The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports a juvenile girl went to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries following a single-car crash Monday afternoon.
Deputies say the car driven by a 16-year-old Salem girl hit a pothole on the Charleston Road north of Tonti Road, lost control, and overturned on its side.
The driver and two passengers, both juvenile girls from Salem, were all out of the car before emergency help arrived. One of the passengers was taken to the hospital to be treated for apparent minor injuries.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to assist the victims.
The crash occurred at 2:48 Monday afternoon.
