KC Blue Angel Melea Lovelace has signed to play basketball for the University of the Virgin Islands. Lovelace is a 5-7 guard. KC coach Jay Jenkins said Melea is a great asset to this program. Melea finished her sophomore season this year at KC averaging 10.8 points per game, 5.4 rebounds and 2 assists as she shot 36% from the field. She played bigger than her size indicates and played a lot in the post for the Blue Angels.
