Donald “Donnie” Dean Oglesby, 57 of Centralia passed away at his home Monday, June 13, 2022. Donald was a member of The Rock Church in Centralia and cherished his church family there. He was an avid movie watcher who liked to collect them for his own personal movie library. Donald had a soft heart just like his mother did for his fur babies, particularly cats, and specifically his Tinkerbell. He never turned away a stray and loved to care for them all. Donald loved his family, and even more so his nieces and nephews who he was known by “Uncle Dino”.
A graveside service will be held in Donald’s honor at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia on Monday, June 20, 2022, at 1:00P.M. with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Memorials may be made in Donald’s honor to Family’s Wishes and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home. Survivors that will carry treasured memories of Donald’s smile is his father, Ronnie Atchison and wife Nancy of Dix; stepfather, Butch Hixenbaugh of Centralia; siblings, Ronald Oglesby and wife Donna of Centralia, Linnie Hixenbaugh Jr. of Centralia, Sherry Huller and husband Jamie of Marion, IN, Perry Hixenbaugh Sr. and wife Dawn of Centralia, Ron John Atchison and wife Michelle of Centralia, and Mike Atchison of Centralia; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
He was born on October 31, 1964 the son of Ronnie Atchison and Linda Oglesby in Centralia, IL. He married Erma Lea Chapman and they later divorced. Donald was preceded in death by both his mother, Linda Hixenbaugh, and sister, Chrystal Atchison.
