Police Beat for Friday, June 18th, 2021

Salem Police arrested two persons wanted on warrants and later took one of them into custody for possession of methamphetamine. Police located 37-year-old Robert Garney of Selmaville Road and 34-year-old Shannon Garney of Robin Road in Salem at a residence together. Robert Garney was wanted on a Cumblerland County failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license and for possession of meth. Shannon Garney was arrested on a Marion County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000.

Centralia Police arrested a Centralia woman for possession of methamphetamine and on an outstanding Clinton County misdemeanor warrant. Sherry Altom of West Broadway was taken to the Marion County Jail.

25-year-old Casey Short of North Street in Carlyle was arrested by Wamac Police for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic instrument.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 32-year-old Jolee Graham of North Broadway in Salem on a Marion County failure to appear warrant in a drug paraphernalia case after seeing her walking in the 400 block of North Broadway. Bond is set at $2,500.

A 41-year-old Chicago man, Travion Johnson, was given a notice to appear in court after being arrested by State Police for alleged DUI and driving on a suspended license.

29-year-old Joshua Daugherty of Kinlou Road in Kinmundy posted $300 bond and was released on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant.
