A 40-year-old Bonnie man was pronounced dead on the scene late Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Illinois Route 37 on the north side of Bonnie.
The victim is identified as Travis Jackson.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department says Jackson was struck by a car driven by 22-year-old Taylor Bazillion of Tamaroa.
No other details have been released as the investigation continues.
