There is now a Sandoval Library Director and library board. Both were appointed by the Sandoval Village Board at Tuesday night’s meeting.
While the library is still some time away from opening, the board announced the wifi that will be available to those outside the building has been turned on. The password is “BLACKHAWKS”.
Ann Koch will be the Library Director. She has spent countless hours trying to get the building ready and going through thousands of donated books.
“It’s a work in progress. We have to go through all the books and find out what we can keep. We have to set up the system. We have a committee which is a good start and we will just start following the guidelines put forth by the state and the library board.”
Koch says the library will have to be open a full year before they can join the Heartland Regional Library System which will allow a book exchange with other system libraries.
Those named to the library board are Terri and Bryan Reynolds, Kathy Gramlick, Becky Jett, Tammy Boatright, and Ellie Sulcer.
