Salem man arrested for allegedly using U-Haul to carry off plants from Four Seasons Garden Center

A 33-year-old Salem man has been arrested for felony theft after allegedly using a U-Haul truck to load up plants and other items from outside the Four Seasons Garden Center on West Whitaker Street.

Salem Police arrested Damon DeBoer at his home on South Jefferson when looking around town on Saturday evening for a U-haul after the theft was recorded on video surveillance at Four Seasons.

The truck had been pulled behind the home. Many of the stolen items were recovered. The items taken were valued at around $1,300.

DeBoer was taken to the Marion County Jail.
