The Marion County Health Department is reporting two new COVID-19 cases over the weekend and Monday.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow says one of the positives was a teen out of school for the summer and the other was a female in her 30s. Both are in isolation. There are now six active cases, including one in the hospital. Four others were released from isolation over the weekend and Monday.
The Clinton County Health Department is reporting nine new cases for the week of June 5th through the 11th. There are currently five on home isolation and no one hospitalized.
The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting one new positive case over the past three days and five currently in isolation.
Statewide, just 165 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday and the statewide positivity rate has fallen to eight-tenths of a percent. Marion County’s positivity rate is at nine-tenths of a percent. There were nine additional deaths reported statewide. All were in Northern Illinois.
Almost 69-percent of Illinois adults have received at least one vaccination and 52 are fully vaccinated. 29-percent of Marion County residents are fully vaccinated.
