Mary Catherine Daenzer, nee Rolen, of Salem, Illinois, born Dec. 23, 1938, in East. St. Louis, Illinois, died on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem. She was 83.
Mrs. Daenzer was a retired medical billing specialist and a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen, nee Semith, Rolen; her husband, David Daenzer; two daughters, Patricia (Brown) Carlson and Jean (Brown) Oulrey; and two sons-in-law, Terry Oulrey and Bill Spradlin.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Brown of Belleville, Illinois, and Tina (John) Chappell, nee Daenzer, of Salem; a son, James Brown, of Salem; 9 grandchildren, Jason (Jen) Haas, of Salem, Mathew (Kelly) Haas, of Salem, Justin Black, of Salem, Tim (Maddy) Carlson, of Duluth, Minnesota, Rachel (Travis) Orrell, nee Brown, of Patoka, Illinois, Becky (Tyler) Vosholler, nee Black, of Vernon, Kaitlyn Brown, of Patoka, and Baylee Black, of Walnut Hill; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judith Freeman, nee Rolen, of Alton, Illinois; a niece, Jayme Freeman, nee O’Guinn, of Centralia, Illinois, and two nephews, Jody (Erin) O’Guinn, of Fargo, North Dakota, and Jon (Cliff) Garinn, of Dallas, Texas.
A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter, Veterinarian clinic, or groomer in her name. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
