Ameren Illinois officials say an equipment malfunction in a substation resulted in a power outage to 543 customers in the Odin area Sunday morning.
The power outage began around six am for most customers, with power restored around ten am.
Spokesperson Tucker Kennedy reported the malfunction was due to a wiring issue. He says the extremely hot weather was not a factor.
