The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting a new COVID-19 death in Jefferson County. The death is one of 22 listed on Friday’s report. The fatality was a male in his 80s. The deaths also include two females in their 80s in Lawrence County.
The Marion County Health Department is reporting no new cases on Thursday or Friday. There are now eight active cases, including one in the hospital. Two have been released from isolation in the past two days.
Jefferson County is reporting one new case on Friday and seven currently in isolation.
Statewide, 401 new cases were recorded on Friday. The seven-day statewide positivity rate remains at an even one percent.
