More than two pounds of meth seized in traffic stop in Salem

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports more than two pounds of methamphetamine was seized in an early Sunday morning traffic stop in Salem.

The driver, 62-year-old Olen Meadows of South College Street, was arrested for alleged possession of more than 900 grams of methamphetamine. The two sealed packages reportedly contained 959 grams of the drug.

A passenger, 32-year-old Jolee Graham of Allmon Street in Salem, was arrested for alleged possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine after additional meth was allegedly found in her possession.

The traffic stop occurred at South College and Mitchell Street just before three on Sunday morning after Meadows allegedly failed to yield and signal.

Salem Police canine Freddie alerted on the vehicle resulting in the search for drugs.
