Marion County reports two new COVID-19 cases on Friday; 626 statewide

The Marion County Health Department is reporting two new COVID-19 cases on Friday.  One of the new cases is of school age, but school was not in session at the time.  One of the cases is considered community spread and the other from household or close contact.   There are now eight active cases, including one who is in the hospital.

The Clinton County Health Department is reporting three new cases for the week ending Friday.  There are currently seven in-home isolation and no one hospitalized.

Jefferson County is reporting no new cases on Friday and five in isolation.

The Washington County Health Department is reporting no new cases Wednesday through Friday.  There is currently one active case.

Statewide, 626 new cases are being reported on Friday.  There were 15 additional deaths, none in Southern or South Central Illinois.  The statewide positivity rate has dropped to 1.3-percent.
