In Little League Major’s play Americana used a big 7-run sixth inning to earn a 12-2 victory. Silas Lux, Nicholi Marhanka, Keaton Smythe, Walker Crank and Keytin Grawe all drove in runs in the frame. Landon White was on the mound going 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs with 6 strikeouts. Evan Barnes was the starter for Lions. He went 4 innings allowing 3 hits and 5 runs. Trey Clark homered for Americana and had multiple hits along with Crank. Barnes went 2-3 for Lions.

In minors, Marion County Savings Bank beat State Farm 11-5. Tanner Puritun went the first 2 innings striking out 2. Dakota Gregg finished the game with 4 ks. Both pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter. Jax Schaubert had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Benny Bryan 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI, Puritun drove in 2, Gregg tripled home a run with Parker and Porter Lewis both singling.
Security Alarm beat Elks 11-1. In the win, Jared Crompton went 3-4 with 3 doubles, Tyler Lutz singled and Zane Applegate added 2 doubles. For Elks, Issac Beatty singled and walked with Rhett Starnes adding a triple.
In Tee Ball play, Peoples State Bank played Joe’s Pizza. Defensively Reed Knapp, Cade Rambo and Levi Knapp all made plays for outs. Maddox Smith, Carter Smith and Reed Knapp all went 3-3 and scored 3 runs. Levi Knapp hit 2 home runs as last batter for PSB.
