Salem Fire Protection District officials say they got a quick knockdown on a garage fire early last night.
The fire was in a detached garage on the David Purcell property at 2402 South Washington in Salem. A portion of the outside of the structure and some of the items stored inside had caught fire. However, the building was saved.
The cause of the blaze had not been determined.
