Karin H. Hoxworth, 73, of Centralia passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Karin was a faithful, supportive military wife of 21 years. She had a kind, compassionate heart that she shared with the people she cared for as a CNA. She was happy to use her CNA license to be a private care giver for people so they would have the gift of staying in their home. Karin was a true dog lover and never passed up an opportunity to shower a dog with love. She was extremely crafty and known as a “handywoman” who could fix anything. Karin had great attention to detail which was apparent in her beautiful model train displays where she could create new worlds. Karin will be forever remembered for her loving kindness to all and for the way she could light up a room.
A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a future date. Memorials may be made in Karin’s honor to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Online condolences and memories of Karin may be shared with the family by visiting www.maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
She married the love of her life, Richard Hoxworth on May 17, 1989, in Germany and he survives her in Centralia. Along with her husband of 33 years, Richard Hoxworth, Karin is survived by her beloved family, son Ricky Hoxworth of Centralia; sister Margie and husband Rodney of Germany; sister-in-law Monica Thomas of Germany; and several nephews.
