Police Beat for Wednesday, May 26th, 2021

Salem Police have arrested a Salem man on two sex offender registration violations.  23-year-old Jordan Lippert of South Franklin was taken into custody for having an expired registration and for failure to register a change of address.  Police say they received a tip on Lippert’s location and took him into custody without incident.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 24-year-old Marry Despres of Community Beach Road in Odin for alleged domestic battery.

Two people remained in the Marion County Jail on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrants.   42-year-old Cheryl Foster of Franklin Street in Carlyle is being held in lieu of a $3,500 bond on a petition to revoke his probation on a possession of controlled substance conviction.   48-year-old Kelly Hixenbaugh of North Wall in Wamac is being held on a $4,500 bond on a petition to revoke his license on a possession of methamphetamine conviction.

42-year-old Timothy Hill of Grayville was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for violation of bail bond.   He was later released after posting $360 bond.
