The Salem Lady Cats held off Carlyle as they beat the Lady Indians 2-1. Kaitlyn Banning scored in the fifth to give Salem a 1-0 lead. They added on in the sixth when Delaney Kell singled to start the inning and would come around and score. Carlyle plated their only run in the 7th. Kell was the winning pitcher striking out 14 in the victory. Salem is back in action today as they host Okawville. The JV will host Greenville.
The SC Lady Cougars are 19-4 and 5-1 in the National Trail after their 18-2 road win at Dieterich. Taegan Webster was the winning pitcher. She also drove in 2 runs at the plate along with Kayli Swift, Sydnee Garrett, Laney Webster and Brooklyn Garrett. SC will play in the 3rd place game of the NTC Tournament against Altamont today.
Odin earned a 7-5 conference win over Waltonville. They will host Clay City today at 4:30.
