Salem man gets two year prison term for failing to register Facebook page

A 53-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to two years in prison for a sex offender registration violation.

Roger Johnston of North College admitted to having an unregistered Facebook page in November of last year. A second count of having an unregistered page in December was dropped as part of the plea.

Johnston will have to serve one year of parole when getting out of prison. He was given credit for 137 days served in the Marion County Jail.
