Four face new felony charges following weekend arrests

Four people arrested over the weekend were formally charged in Marion County Court on Monday with new offenses.

Bond was set at $15,000 for 21-year-old Hayden Wimberly of Kinmundy Road in Kinmundy who was charged with two counts of aggravated battery for allegedly head butting and putting a pregnant woman into a choke hold on May 7th.

Bond was set at $7,500 for 53-year-old Rodney Darling of Old U.S. 51 in Sandoval who was charged with failure to register as a sex offender with a prior conviction. Darling was arrested when coming to the sheriff’s office over the weekend to try and update his registration.

34-year-old Daniel Myers of East 11th in Centralia was charged with burglary for allegedly entering a home in the 1,000 block of South Maple in Centralia on March 16th. He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond.

A 61-year-old Pana man was charged with possession of under five grams of meth and obstructing justice for allegedly giving Salem Police a false name. Ray Adams was also arrested at the same time on two outstanding warrants.

All four had the public defender appointed to represent them.
