The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,513 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. There were also 47 additional deaths around the state. None were in South Central or Southern Illinois.
As of Friday night, 1,581 were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 409 were in the ICU and 228 on ventilators.
The statewide positivity rate for the past seven days remained at 2.5-percent on Saturday.
