Police Beat for Saturday, May 15th, 2021

A 44-year-old Madisonville, Kentucky man has been arrested by Centralia Police for criminal trespass to a residence.  Jonathan Johnson was reportedly found inside a home in the 2200 block of East McCord when the resident woke up just before five Friday morning.   Police say there had been no forced entry.   Johnson was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police have arrested a 29-year-old Mt. Vernon man on an outstanding Fulton County warrant.   Adam Borah of East Oakton called police early Friday night to report he had been attacked during a disturbance at a home on Julia Drive.   Police say no arrests were made in connection with the disturbance, but Borah was taken to the Marion County Jail on the warrant for failure to appear for violation of an order of protection.

Two people remained in custody on Saturday for domestic battery.  25-year-old Eddie Neff of Marcel Drive in Central City was arrested by Central City Police and 38-year-old Thomas Walters of Pine Street in Sandoval by Sandoval Police.

A 34-year-old Carlinville man, Brenton Beard, was arrested at the Marion County Probation Office for violation of probation on a 2016 conviction for meth manufacturing.

Salem Firemen were called Saturday morning to the Tire and Lube Express area of the Walmart store at 1870 West Main when a high-pressure gas line was heard hissing.   A small leak was found that was repaired by the city gas crew.
