A 24-year-old Salem man refused hospital treatment following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 near Iuka.
Preliminary information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office indicates Gregory Nicholas of Indiana Avenue was traveling eastbound when he ran off the north side of the road into the roadside ditch and then struck several small trees before coming to a stop.
Nicholas was checked for injuries at the scene by United Medical Response. He was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 3:52 Friday afternoon.
