The South Locust Street Historic Fair in Centralia drew big crowds from start to finish on Saturday.
Centralia Community Development Director Gayla Harting appreciates all those who assisted.
“10:00 we opened up and our streets are packed. So with over 40 vendors this year, food trucks, motorcycle and car shows, all of our exhibits this year it couldn’t of been better. The weather has been great. But again I just didn’t expect these crowds already so soon. I couldn’t of asked for anything better today and I would like to thank everyone who helped us put this together.”
There were 35 food and craft booths in all, with most of the food vendors selling out and all of the vendors reporting a wonderful day. The car show attracted 72 entries. The trolley rides to Elmwood Cemetery were full each trip.
This is the eighth year from the event that had to be canceled last year due to COVID-19 concerns.
