Jack Wayne Adams, 90, of Patoka passed away Friday, April 22, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1932, the son of Fielding and Ruth Elizabeth (Karr) Adams in Patoka. He married the love of his life, Erma Caldwell, on November 6, 1952, in Pacheco, California.
Survivors include his wife Erma Adams of Edgewood beloved family, children Russell Adams and wife Tammy of Patoka, Becky Adams-Stover and husband Brian of Patoka, Randy Adams and Fiance` Bonnie Smith of Patoka, Tammy Adams-Rodriguez of Patoka, and Christy Hester and husband Samuel of Edgewood; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Fielding and Ruth Adams; infant daughter Nevada Kay; sister Vera Mae Stephens; brothers Lee Adams, Carl Adams, Dave Adams, & Paul Adams; grandson-in-law Steve Ackerman
Jack was a proud United States Army veteran, serving his country with honor. He was a lifelong resident of his hometown Patoka and appreciated the support of his community. He worked hard to provide for his family as a truck driver. Jack was truly involved in his family’s lives, as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Patoka Pentecostal Church in Patoka. Interment will follow at Patoka City Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Patoka American Legion Post #543. Friends are welcome to a visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Patoka Pentecostal Church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made in Jack’s honor to the family’s wishes.
