Marion County Health Department reports six new COVID-19 cases

The Marion County Health Department on Thursday reported six new COVID-19 cases.  All six are considered community spread.  One is a student.  Contact tracing is underway.

The department reports a total of 14 on home isolation and one person who is hospitalized.   No additional cases were released from isolation on Thursday.

The Clinton County Health Department is reporting ten new positive cases.  There are currently 25 on home isolation and two who are hospitalized.

The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting four new cases with 15 current positive cases on isolation.

Statewide, 3,170 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus were reported, including 33 additional deaths.   One of the deaths, a female in her 60s, was among the fatalities.

The seven-day statewide positivity rate remains at 3.8-percent.   There were 131,411 doses of vaccine administered on Wednesday, bringing the total to date to nearly 8.5-million.
