Sheilah Taylor, 64, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away on March 28, 2022 at Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Arizona. Mrs. Taylor graduated from Rockford High School and while in school she played the violin. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church and was a faithful navy wife. Sheilah worked at an Animal Hospital where she assisted the veterinarians. She was an animal lover. Sheilah was an amazing painter and will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Hughey Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Reverend Bud Storey officiating. Sheilah married Joe Taylor and he survives in Arizona. In addition to her mother and husband, Sheilah is survived by her brother, Wesley Latham of Rockford, Illinois; aunt, Shirley Reeker of Mount Vernon, Illinois; uncle, Bob Hughes of O’ Fallon, Illinois; several cousins; and beloved dog, Ziva.
She was born November 2, 1957 in Rockford, Illinois to John and Dorothy (Reeker) Latham. In addition to her father, Sheilah was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Etho Latham and Mac and Frida Reeker; aunt, Beverly Hughes; and uncle, Fred Reeker.
