2022 04/15 – Charles Mark Ritchey

Charles Mark Ritchey, 59, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:51 pm April 12, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. Charles was a hard worker. He worked many years as a mason tender. He was a member of the Southern Illinois Laborers Union Local 1197. He enjoyed listening to music and being outdoors. Charles was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed. Go Bills!

Charles married Monica E. (Orduno) Ritchey on May 24, 1987. They were blessed with nearly 35 years of marriage. In addition to his beloved wife, Charles is survived by his daughters, Melissa Roberts and husband, Richard and Mallory Ritchey, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Mindy Boadilla and Marsi Beltran, both of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Gage Hall, Gavin Hall, and Cade Norville; sisters, Brenda (Ritchey) Schlichter of Fenton, Missouri and Cheri (Ritchey) Smith of Mesa, Arizona; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie McMahon, Tyler Smith, Shawn Chizk, Caleb Ritchey, Alexandrea Ritchey, and Tabitha Webb.

Charles Mark Ritchey was born September 28, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late John and Mildred (Stegemoller) Ritchey. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Taylor Norville; siblings, John Ritchey and Leanne Swenson; and niece, Molly Ritchey.
