Frances Louise Thomas, age 76 of Flora, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Frances had a few jobs, but the ones most precious to her were babysitting throughout the years and working at the Salem Hospital in the maternity ward. She enjoyed fishing and playing bingo with her Heritage Woods family, traveling and most importantly spending time with family. She was a long-time member of the Assembly of God denomination. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carle Hospice.
Funeral services for Frances Louise Thomas will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Don Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorials can be made to Carle Hospice and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home. Survivors include four children, Melissa Redenbo and husband Randy of Alma, Ron Thomas and wife Kayla of Salem, Tamesha Clark and husband Paul of Springfield, and Jason Thomas and wife Melissa of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Heather Fritschle and husband Logan, Josh Moore and wife Jess, Tyson Thomas and wife Stephanie, Taylor Thomas, Amber Stephens and husband Mike, Chelsea Clark, Anthony Clark, and Layne Thomas; 19 great grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Desmond, Trey, Marisa, Jase, Maddie, Memphis, Henley, Margot, Raegyn, Daxx, Abigail “Abi”, Hayden, Andrew, Mia, Brooklyn, Kaelynn, and Camden; and two sister, Barbara Bean and Dottie Ashburn both of Tennessee.
Frances was born on December 16, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Virginia (Edwards) and James W. Keen. She married Gene Thomas on June 3, 1961 in Gallatin, Tennessee and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; granddaughter, Lora Clark; and brother, Marshall Edwards.
