Trecia M. Charles Green, 88 years old, passed peacefully at home in her sleep following a long illness on Thursday, March 24. She worked as seamstress and a homemaker. She held various positions such as a school cook in order to be an involved mother. She was a cashier, and her last position was as a home health care provider for the home bound elderly. This speaks of her caring and Christian values, which were evident throughout her life. She was a member of the Baptist faith and will be forever missed.
Visitation services will be held at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home in Salem, Illinois from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday with funeral services Monday at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will immediately follow at Paradise Cemetery in Salem. The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home at P.O. Mother to Eddie Ryker of Oregon, Becky Green Phillips of Alma, Robert Green, Jr. and David Green all of Salem. She was also a beloved grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was born, November 3, 1933 to Edgar and Annie Charles in Oklahoma City, OK. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers James Charles, Charles Charles, Steve Charles, and a sister Loretta Charles as well as her husband Robert Green, Sr.
