Ricky Lynn “Buddy” Webb, Jr., 53, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away at 8:32 am March 19, 2022 at Saint John Hospital in Springfield. Ricky loved cars and had a passion for drawing. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and going to auctions. Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Ricky’s honor to Hughey Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Ricky is survived by his mother, Joyce Hawkins of Springfield; fiancée, Racheal Warren of Mount Vernon; sons, Christopher Webb, Christian Webb, and Mark Twiggs, all of Mount Vernon; grandsons, Dakota, Elijah, Jaden, and Isaac; sisters, Chris Russell and husband, Perry of Florida, Patricia Webb and husband, Zain of Winamac, Indiana, and Tinisha Gossett and husband, Curtis of Trenton, Illinois; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was born November 12, 1968 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Ricky Lynn Webb, Sr. and Joyce A. (Smith) Hawkins. In addition to his father, Ricky was preceded in death by his stepfather, Doug Hawkins; nephew, Shalin Burns; maternal grandparents, John and Addaline Smith; paternal grandparents, James and Lena Webb; and his beloved dog, Rosie.
