Pat Baldridge, 92 of Salem, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, March 12, 2022, with family at her side. Pat was a teacher in the Salem Elementary School District #111, faithfully educating children of Salem for 35 plus years. She was a member of ADK Teaching Sorority. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Salem where she helped establish and worked in Sunshine School for many years. She also served as a Pink Lady for Salem Township Hospital until her health prevented it. She loved her family, and is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren for regularly calling and checking on them, always interested in their activities, their welfare and just “keeping in touch.”
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at the First Christian Church in Salem with burial to follow at the East Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 9:00 am until the service hour at First Christian Church. Survivors include her children Ann and Chris Tanner of Salem, Doug and Lori Baldridge Of Lake Mary, FL, and Mike and LuAnn Baldridge of Patoka, along with her grandchildren Christopher (Andrea) Tanner, Georgetown, IN, Jessica (Drew) Pommert, Joplin, MO, Ben (Lindsay) Baldridge, Lake Mary, FL, Vaughn Baldridge, Lake Mary, FL, Sarah (Shea) Burton, Alma, IL, Jordan (Danielle) Baldridge, Patoka, IL and Drew (Katie) Baldridge, Nashville, TN. Pat also is survived by her great grandchildren Noah, Micah, Grace, Colin , Diana, Claire, Rebekah, Tristan, Khloe, Adeline and Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
Born August 12, 1929 in Salem, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lorin V. and Pauline (Bachmann) Cope. She married Ray Baldridge August 9, 1952 in Salem and he preceded her in death, March 29, 1995. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandchild Adam Baldridge, and sisters Mary Ann Sloan and Pauline E. “Betty” Donahue.
