Timothy Philip Swigert, 62, of Waltonville, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in SSM St. Mary Hospital in Centralia. He worked for Bunn Capital in Springfield for a number of years. He began working for Graphic Packaging in Centralia for ten years.
Per Timothy Swigert’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public services will be held. To celebrate Tim’s life, the immediate family gathered together earlier with a dinner in his honor. Timothy is survived by his wife: Sharon Swigert of Waltonville; two stepsons: Gregory Newell of Effingham and Travis Russell Newell and wife Misty of Waltonville; seven grandchildren: Arianna of Granite City, Julian of Mt. Vernon, Emma of Mt. Vernon, Irene of Mt. Vernon, Jerica of Mt. Vernon, Sadie of Waltonville, and Damian of Waltonville; one great-grandchild: Liam Dickerson of Granite City; one brother-in-law: Roger Lamke and wife Donna of Scheller; three brothers from the Stonington area: Curt Swigert, Robert Swigert, and Eric Swigert; four sisters: Deborah Braden, Cheryl Morman, Carolou Morman, and Kathleen DeClerck; and several nieces and nephews.
Timothy was born September 22, 1959 in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Lyle Swigert and Anne (Puckett) Swigert. Timothy was preceded in death by his parent: Lyle and Anne Swigert; his mother-in-law: Irene Lamke; and one brother-in-law: Dave Morman.
