Mary G. Williams, 95, of Salem, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Salem Township Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1926, in Bloomington, the daughter of Jeff Ward and Rachel (Galiher) Ward.
She is survived by her four children: Linda Venter and husband Jim of Salem, Bob Travis and wife Paula of Salem, Sandra Kestner of Mascoutah, and Joe Travis and wife Frankie of Salem; eleven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law: Paul Kestner, three brothers: George, Marion, and Roy, and four sisters: Ruth, Helen, Nola, and Doris.
Mary worked at World Color Press and the Red Dog Saloon in Salem. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Relay for Life Marion County and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Williams Family.
