Stanley Lee Butts, of Ponderay, Idaho went to his heavenly home February 1, 2022. Stanley grew up on South Franklin Street in Salem where he could always be found playing baseball, softball, whiffle ball, Indian ball, or basketball with all the neighborhood kids. After graduation from Salem High School in 1973, he got in his VW Bug and headed for Atlanta, GA. He was a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan and loved Hank Aaron so that’s where he wanted to live. He found a job working in sales of mobile homes and eventually owned the business. He later went to work in a factory in Douglasville, GA until his retirement. On weekends, he had a booth at flea markets in the Atlanta area and discovered gospel music CDs were good sellers. His love of music was apparent in his postings on Facebook of “name that tune”. Being an adventurous soul, after retirement he wanted to live where there was snow so he found Sand Point, Idaho on the internet and once again loaded up his car, sold everything he had, and moved to Ponderay, Idaho. Stanley will always be remembered for his kind spirit and beautiful blue eyes.
