2022 02/21 – Sally Lynn Williams

Sally Lynn Williams, age 51 of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home. Sally was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. She worked for the Target Corporation in Knoxville, TN and in Shiloh, IL. She was a graduate of Salem Community High School Class of 1988, where she was voted the class clown with a fellow classmate. She then went on to graduate from Kaskaskia College. Sally enjoyed reading, going to the movies, 80’s music to which she knew every word to every song, and mostly being around people and making friends.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Troy and Lori Cannon and SSM Hospice.

Celebration of Life services for Sally Lynn Williams will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Feldman officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the church. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Nancy Geiler and husband Denny of Salem; father, Stephen A. Williams of Hoffman; two sisters, Stephanie Wilton and husband Dave of Carlyle and Emily Griffin and husband Cory of Carlyle; nephews, Declan and Sully Griffin; half-brother, Jason Williams and Tammy of Centralia; half-sister, Leanna Williams of Centralia; five step-siblings, Tony Geiler and wife Gay of Salem, Steve Geiler and wife Patti of Hanna City, IL, Kevin Geiler and wife Kelly of Pekin, IL, Lori Geiler and Jason of Tucson, AZ, and Beth Geiler of Creve Coeur, IL; and two aunts, Joyce Hodge of Salem and Cathy Heimlich and husband Dave of Springfield.

Sally was born on April 23, 1970, in Centralia, IL the daughter of Stephen A. Williams and Nancy (Glosser) Williams. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Laurine Glosser of Salem and Pat and Ava Williams of Alma.
