2022 02/20 – Bobby Dean Taylor

Bobby Dean Taylor, 68, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on February 17, 2022, at Mount Vernon Health Care Center in Mount Vernon.

He was born December 10, 1953, in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Donald Dean and Patricia (Cummings) Taylor. Bobby is survived by his sons, Jesse Dean Beasley and wife, Teresa of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Richard Dean Taylor and wife, Michaela of Saint Louis, Missouri; daughter, Michelle Hays and husband, Dustin of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Emily Beasley, Trevor Beasley, Andrew Hays, and Gabriel Hays; brothers, Kenneth Taylor and wife, Devonda “Bonnie” of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Mark Taylor and wife, Sherry of Belleville, Illinois, Donald  Taylor of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Victoria Johnson and husband, Jerry of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Patricia Woodward and husband, David of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Roger Taylor; and half-brother, Marty Lewis.

Mr. Taylor worked in the oil fields for 20 years and at Mount Vernon Neon for 25 years. He was a member of the First Church of God in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed history and aeronamics. Bobby loved to attend air shows at Scott Air Force Base. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
